STAR DAME is a powerful female-fronted alternative rock duo from Sheffield, UK. Founded in July, 2020 by Marija Kons (guitar & vocals) and Dave Burgoyne (drums & synth bass). Bringing both of their musical personalities together, it is tuneful rock that blends a classic sound with powerful riffs, catchy melodies and upbeat vibes.
Gigging for over a year, Star Dame have played at festivals and venues such as Sheffield Tramlines, Corporation, Network including supporting Toyah Willcox on her recent tour. Supported Jack J. Hutchinson at Nightrain on 9 October 2023 and Toronto based Bywater Call on 13th October, 2023.
Released debut single ‘Dirty Old Crow’ in Dec 2022, and our EP was launched in May 2023
